Audition

Well, I auditioned for a show. I tried for 3 hours to get into that emotional state that we got to in Physical Acting (not quite as dramatic but there) and I didn't get there-- I did a half assed job of trying though. The whole time I am doing the audition my yabba is going: I'm bored, if I'm bored then they're bored . . . then there is that slight moment at the end of: will they say anything afterwards? You know how some auditioners tell you right away that you got a call back and others just say thanks . .. I was so out of it! Argh.

I'M BACK!

I went to the Beeaaacchhhh! VA beach was amazing before good old Ernesto rolled in. Then I spent the next two days trying to entertain nephews who had cabin fever. I'm auditioning for a show on Thursday: "Wait Until Dark", which is the play where the girl is blind. I am going to try to put that guy Brian O'neill's tactics to use with getting in on play readings at some of the regional theatres here. Where is Emily? Where is Elizabeth!? Joanna!? YEEEEEEE! Yippy yip yip yeee!! Danielle, are you in florence yet?

Boohhooo, I'm Sad

I'm sad. I'll admit it. I got home and there is no one to talk to (except the hubby when he's not busy which is never.) And I don't have exciting things to learn or fun people to laugh with. I am going to the beach for a week-- YAY! But Seth can't come because of work so boooooooo. AND then because I am going to the beach I am missing a bunch of auditions for the fall season. (I always manage to do that. . . . . ) So, I don't know what is better getting some good R&R and then coming home to nothing or working my ass off just for works sake. I FEEL POINTLESS AND I HATE FEELING POINTLESS! ooooooooo, transitions suck. I am sure all of you are busy with school and Kevin with Mary Poopins (meant to write Poppins but Poopins is so much funnier--pooped a testicle lately?) And Danielle with Florence coming up!!!!!! Elizabeth you better get on and start bloggin'!
Sad, bitter and little depressed.

booooooohoooo

Waaahhhhhh. Rats, crazy psychics, homeless people, scary man with scary dog . . . could our last day at circle be more traumatic? This day has felt more like a week. I felt numb in voice class. I was a fifth grader in acting. Anger, rage, and pain in Physical Acting. I laughed my head off at dinner and dessert. I laughed even more at Avenue Q, I said WAY too many goodbyes that won't hit me until next week. AND then to top it off, I almost died when a rat that I didn't even catch a glimpse of almost climbed up our legs, I was told that I had a lot of spiritual potential by a psychic but when I refused to pay her for a reading she said with great spite, "you're way too logical anyway".
I don't think that this day could've been more packed!
Danielle, I want a report on superman!

Cabaret!

Props to all those in Tuesday Cabaret. Kevin, if weren't gay, canadian and well, Asian (because I'm racist and homophobic) I would be in love with you. Emily, thank goodness you came on when you did! You brightened up the whole show. Everyone who was in group E or wait, group yeE, sparkled in the show.

Chocolate Anybody?

I've experienced my first hangover but it wasn't from alcohol surprisingly enough, it was from chocolate!
